Remote Command Examples using JCL

Example 1: This example shows a remote command for creating a directory on a remote Unix system:

BPXBATCH PGM /usr/lpp/ssh2/bin/ssh2 +
-oCharsetConvert=yes +
user1@unix.example.com +
mkdir testdir

Example 2: This example shows a remote command for creating a directory on a remote Windows system. Note that the quotes (") are not needed when Windows commands are run from JCL, but they are needed when the remote commands are run from USS shell:

BPXBATCH PGM /usr/lpp/ssh2/bin/ssh2 +
-oCharsetConvert=yes +
-ostricthostkeychecking=no +
user2@windows.example.com +
cmd /c mkdir testdir

Example 3: This example shows multiple commands:

BPXBATCH PGM /usr/lpp/ssh2/bin/ssh2 +
-oCharsetConvert=yes +
user1@unix.example.com +
cd /tmp; +
ls -l test.*; +
rm test.txt
