Installing the SSH Tectia Server for IBM z/OS Software

SSH Tectia Server for IBM z/OS is installed to the USS area using an appropriate USS shell, for example an OpenMVS ISPF shell or a Telnet session.

The installation consists of the following steps:

  1. Unpack the installation package. See Section Unpacking.
  2. Create the SAMPLIB directory. See Section Creating SAMPLIB.
  3. Prepare the system. See Section Preparing.
  4. Create the SSHD2 user. See Section Creating SSHD2.
  5. Create the /usr/lpp/ssh2 directory. See Section Creating /usr/lpp/ssh2.
  6. Run the setup script. See Section Running Setup.
  7. Enable man pages. See Section Enabling Manual Pages.
