Description

ssh-socks-proxy is a client-side component of SSH Tectia Server for IBM z/OS. It is used for handling Transparent FTP Tunneling.

ssh-socks-proxy uses the Secure Shell version 2 protocol to communicate with a Secure Shell server.

You can start the SOCKS Proxy manually by using the ssh-socks-proxy command. This starts ssh-socks-proxy in the background and all following uses of Transparent Tunneling will connect via this instance of the SOCKS Proxy.
