Running the Server

The SSH Tectia server component on z/OS consists of two processes:

  • sshd2: the main Secure Shell server daemon
  • ssh-certd: the Certificate Validator, a process used by sshd2 when validating user certificates

Starting sshd2 Manually under USS

Running sshd2 as a Started Task

Restarting and Stopping sshd2

Starting ssh-certd Manually under USS

Running ssh-certd as a Started Task
