Installing the SSH Tectia Server for IBM z/OS Software

SSH Tectia Server for IBM z/OS is installed to the USS area using an appropriate USS shell, for example an OpenMVS ISPF shell or a Telnet session.

The installation consists of the following basic steps:

  1. Set permissions.
  2. Prepare the system.
  3. Unpack the archive.
  4. Create the SSHD2 user.
  5. Create the /usr/lpp/ssh2 directory.
  6. Run the setup script.
  7. Enable man pages.
  8. Secure the server.
