Introduction to SSH Tectia Server for IBM z/OS

SSH Tectia Server for IBM z/OS is a client/server security solution based on the Secure Shell protocol. It provides secure file transfer, secure shell access, remote shell command execution, and TCP and FTP tunneling. Together with SSH Tectia Client and ConnectSecure on Windows, it provides transparent secure TN3270 connections.

The server component of SSH Tectia Server 6.1 for IBM z/OS is based on SSH Tectia Server 4.3 but it has the same advanced file transfer features as SSH Tectia Server 6.1 on Unix platforms.

The client components of SSH Tectia Server 6.1 for IBM z/OS are based on SSH Tectia Client 6.1 and they support the same advanced file transfer features as SSH Tectia ConnectSecure 6.1 on Unix platforms.

SSH Tectia Server 6.1 for IBM z/OS runs on z/OS versions 1.9 through 1.11. It is installed to z/OS Unix System Services (USS), but it can be run in the native environment (hereafter MVS) and process files of the native file system.
