From Tectia Server for IBM z/OS Version 6.x

Tectia Server for IBM z/OS version 6.x can be upgraded simply by installing a newer maintenance version or version 6.4 software on top of the older version. The already defined configuration will be preserved untouched.

To upgrade Tectia Server for IBM z/OS:

  1. If your existing installation of Tectia Server for IBM z/OS is of version 6.4.7 or earlier and the server is running as a started task: Stop the server.

  2. Unpack the archive as described in Unpacking the Installation Package.

  3. Run the setup script as described in Running the Setup Script.

  4. If you are upgrading from version 6.4.7 or earlier: Copy the SSHD2 and SSHCERTD JCLs from /opt/tectia/doc/zOS/SAMPLIB to your system procedure library (for more information, see Running sshd2 as a Started Task and Running ssh-certd as a Started Task).
