Editing Configuration Files

The default location for the configuration files is /etc/ssh2/. You can edit the sshd2_config and ssh_certd_config files with your favorite text editor.

The configuration files consists of keyword-value pairs, one per line. Lines starting with the hash character # as well as empty lines are interpreted as comments and ignored. The configuration file is read when the server is started and each time a new connection to the server is made. If the configuration file is faulty or cannot be found, the server will not start.

A complete list of configuration options can be found from the sshd2_config and ssh_certd_config man pages. See Appendices sshd2_config and ssh_certd_config.
