Tectia ConnectSecure provides tools for replacing plaintext FTP with secure alternatives. Tectia ConnectSecure has been designed for server-to-server communications. The main features of Tectia ConnectSecure are FTP-SFTP conversion, enhanced file transfer services, transparent FTP tunneling, and transparent TCP tunneling.

Tectia ConnectSecure is designed to be installed and configured by an administrator, and the software operates transparent to the end users. The administrator can also define what the end users are allowed to do.

The Connection Broker handles all cryptographic operations and authentication-related tasks for Tectia ConnectSecure. In addition, Tectia ConnectSecure is configured through the Connection Broker settings made either in an XML file, or in the Tectia Connections Configuration GUI as described in Tectia Connections Configuration GUI.
