Removing from Windows

There are several ways to remove the Tectia Client installation from Windows. Follow one set of instructions below:

Using Windows Control Panel tools

Open the Control Panel and double-click the Add or Remove Programs or Uninstall a program option.
Select Tectia Client from the list of installed programs and click the Remove or Uninstall button.
Click Yes to confirm.
You have to restart the computer after uninstalling Tectia Client. Click Yes to restart.
Note that the Tectia Client folder in the Windows Start menu is not removed.

Using the Microsoft Installer

Locate the Windows Installer file ssh-tectia-client- <version>-windows.msi (where <version> corresponds to the version and build number, for example 6.2.5.123). On some Windows versions the .msi file type is not shown for the installer file.
Double-click the installer file, and the Microsoft installer will start.
Select Remove to start the uninstallation.
Click Finish when the removal has been completed.
You have to restart the computer after uninstalling Tectia Client. Click Yes to restart.
Note that the Tectia Client folder in the Windows Start menu is not removed.

Using Silent Command-line Tools

Tectia Client can also be removed silently by giving the following command:

msiexec /q /x ssh-tectia-client-<version>-windows.msi

In the command, <version> is the version of Tectia Client to be removed (for example, 6.2.5.123).
