Before you start upgrades or creating test configurations, make a backup of the Connection Broker configuration files where you have made modifications.
On Unix, the backup copies of the configuration files are made
manually. The original user-specific configuration file is located in
$HOME/.ssh2/ssh-broker-config.xml
. Copy it to another location
of your own choice. In case you need to return to using the backed up file,
copy it back to the original location under the original name.
During SSH Tectia upgrades on Windows, a backup copy is automatically made of the earlier Connection Broker configuration files and stored in the user-specific directory:
"%APPDATA%\SSH\backup-<version>-<date>
"
where
<version>
is the SSH Tectia release
<date>
is the date of the upgrade.
On Windows, the user-specific Connection Broker configuration file is by default
located in "%APPDATA%\SSH\ssh-broker-config.xml
". Each time the
Connection Broker configuration file is saved, a backup of the old configuration is
stored in "%APPDATA%\SSH\ssh-broker-config-backup.xml
". In case
you need to return to using the backed up file, copy it back to the original
location under the original name.
