Desktop Icons

During installation you can select to have SSH Tectia Client icons added to your desktop. There two separate program icons for SSH Tectia Client terminal and file transfer windows.

The SSH Tectia Client icon and the File Transfer icon both start the same application, SSH Tectia Client. The difference between the icons is that they use different settings files. The Client icon uses the default.ssh2 settings file, and the File Transfer icon uses the defaultsftp.ssh2 settings file.

By default the settings files have been configured to open the appropriate SSH Tectia Client window, either the terminal window or the file transfer window. If you want to change the default configuration, you can save your settings by selecting File -> Save Settings.
